This is my first tarot deck and I love it! I immediately connected positively with these cards and they’re good quality cardstock and ink. I wanted some that are of the basic Rider-Waite design to learn from. I would compare the quality to any regular deck of cards and it comes with a very basic little book that fits inside the simple card box. They came as advertised and I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

The seller was easy to contact and would help resolve any issue. The Cards are pretty much the Rider Waite Smith 1971 edition printed by US Games, same colors but in a matte textured, linen Card stock. Very easy to shuffle because of the material, The Card backs are very nice and is gentle to the eyes, the best part is you won’t be able to determine if the Cards are upright or reversed, due to the consistent pattern. That way, the Reader nor the querent mag choose truly at random. Nicest feature is there’s no copyright on the front border or back design.

I have checked each one of the cards as soon as I got them. The 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana are complete. All pictures are printed clear, and no card is damaged. This is my first Tarot deck; before I decided to purchase this one I’ve seen many other options online and have saw some pretty disappointing reviews about those ones such as the cards are damaged, they are not durable enough, or the picture are not correctly printed. I am glad that I chose to buy this one.The Tarot guide attached is not a lengthy work, and you will know it if you search the title online: The Key to the Tarot, by Arthur Edward Waite. Personally I feel it is worthwhile have a printed version of this work because it is not a random guide written by a random person but was the one bundled with the cards when the Rider-Waite tarot deck was first published in 1909 (information from Wikipedia; correct me if I’m wrong). I would be glad to check the guide when I use the cards.

I am just learning the tarot, and first I purchased some other cards based off of appealing artwork. The truth is the other cards were pretty to look at, but the artwork wasn’t as intuitive. The price point was fair for the deck. I can’t speak to the durability of the cards. I haven’t had them very long, but they seem to be made of good card stock with classic tarot artwork and symbolism.

  5. Emily F

This is the first Tarot deck I’ve ever bought for myself. The cards are beautiful, sturdy and large. They do not feel cheap and they feel pretty durable – even if you were to accidentally spill any liquid on them. Definitely recommend if you are a beginner and don’t know which deck to buy !
